Karma Gyesera Unveiled: A Limited-Edition Electric Supercar

Celebrating a decade of innovation, Karma Automotive unveils its latest masterpiece: the Gyesera. As the company's first foray into the electric sedan market, the Gyesera marks a significant milestone in Karma's journey towards electrification and sustainable mobility.

Drawing inspiration from its predecessors, notably the GSe-6 unveiled in 2021, the Gyesera's design pays homage to the iconic styling of Karma's lineage. With echoes of the revered 2016 Revero and the timeless 2011 Fisker Karma, the Gyesera embodies a sense of familiarity while embracing modernity.

Constructed with a blend of aluminum and carbon fiber atop an aluminum spaceframe chassis, the Gyesera strikes a harmonious balance between strength and agility. This lightweight construction, coupled with its rear-wheel-drive configuration, enables the Gyesera to deliver a formidable 590 horsepower and an impressive 693 lb-ft of torque.

Performance enthusiasts will revel in the Gyesera's capabilities, with projected acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.2 seconds and a top speed exceeding 135 mph. Such exhilarating performance is matched by a projected range of 250 miles, courtesy of its 120 kWh battery pack.

However, the Gyesera's allure extends beyond its performance prowess. With a limited production run of just 2,000 units over the course of 4-5 years, each Gyesera embodies exclusivity and luxury. Priced between $175,000 and $225,000, the Gyesera commands a premium, positioning itself as a symbol of refined taste and discerning elegance.

Yet, amidst the accolades, the Gyesera has sparked controversy. Some critics have labeled it a mere "remix" of past designs, raising questions about its originality and innovative spirit. Furthermore, its lofty price tag places it squarely in competition with established rivals such as the Tesla Model S, Porsche Taycan, Mercedes EQS, and Audi e-Tron GT.

Nevertheless, Karma remains undeterred in its pursuit of excellence. With pre-orders now open for a $5,000 deposit, production is slated to commence by late 2024, heralding a new era of electric luxury for the 2025 model year.

The Gyesera represents more than just a car; it symbolizes Karma's commitment to pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. As the second installment in Karma's ambitious three-car launch plan, following the Kaveya electric coupe and preceding the Revero GT, the Gyesera paves the way for a future defined by innovation, performance, and sustainability.
