2025 Taycan, improved in nearly every subject.

Porsche has updated the Taycan, offering more power, range, acceleration, and charging speed. The updated models feature an extensive standard equipment list and the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience with improved display and control concepts. The Taycan sports sedan, Cross Turismo, and Sport Turismo body variants will feature numerous modifications from the launch date. The revised versions will arrive at Porsche Centres in spring 2024. Development engineers and test drivers have covered over 3.6 million kilometers around the world to improve the first all-electric sports car from Porsche. The Taycan has been in production since 2019, with the most important individual markets being the US, UK, Germany, and China. The updated Taycan offers more power, tech, better electric hardware, and better performance. For the 2025 model year, the Taycan will be exclusively available in sedan and Cross Turismo versions in North America, as Porsche has discontinued the Sport Turismo variant. The base, rear-wheel drive model gets the biggest bump in off-the-line performance, reaching 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

The base model car has improved its 0-60 time by 0.3 seconds, down to 2.3 seconds. The Taycan Turbo S now stands as Porsche's most powerful production vehicle to date, with a total system output of 939 hp when using launch control. Porsche has been working hard to improve the motors on every Taycan model, with the rear-axle power unit making up to 107 hp more than the current version. The Sport Chrono package offers a 'push to pass' button that offers drivers a temporary boost of up to 94 hp for up to 10 seconds at a time.

Every updated Taycan will be equipped with an adaptive air suspension, and Porsche Active Ride suspension can be ordered as an option for AWD models. All updated models accelerate much faster than their predecessors, with the Taycan and Turbo S reaching the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in just 4.8 seconds and 2.4 seconds, respectively. The new push-to-pass function in the Sport Chrono package allows drivers to receive a boost of up to 70 kW for up to 10 seconds at the touch of a button. The increased acceleration rates are generally the result of higher system output, with the base Taycan delivering 60 kW more than before and the Taycan Turbo S adding 140 kW with Launch Control.

Porsche has improved the Taycan's charging capabilities, focusing on recharging and recharging at 800-volt DC stations. The 800-volt system can recover energy at up to 320 kW, 50 kW more than before. The fast-charging window has been expanded, allowing the vehicle to go from 10 to 80 percent state of charge in just 18 minutes. The WLTP range has increased to up to 678 km, an increase of 175 km or 35%. The updated Taycan requires fewer charging stops on long trips and recharges faster, with capacities of more than 300 kW sustained for up to five minutes. The new performance battery has a gross capacity of 105 kWh, increasing from 93 kWh in the first-generation Taycan. The updated Taycan takes just 18 minutes under the same conditions, despite its larger battery capacity

The Taycan models have been upgraded with more extensive standard equipment, including ambient lighting, ParkAssist, electrically folding exterior mirrors, heated front seats, Porsche Intelligent Range Manager, heat pump, wireless charging, smartphone tray, electric charging ports, Drive Mode switch, Power Steering Plus, adaptive air suspension, and aluminum door sill protectors. The product specification also includes a battery with increased capacity but reduced weight.

Style Porsche has updated the Taycan's design with new front and rear-end styling, headlights, and tail lights. The new headlights feature high-resolution HD matrix technology and display the brand's four-point graphics at night. The rear light strip features a three-dimensional, glass-look design with welcome/leaving animations. The Turbo and Turbo S models are distinguished by the accent colour Turbonite, making them more distinctive in both exterior and interior.

The instrument cluster, central display, and optional passenger display now have an optimized user interface with additional functions. The mode switch on the steering wheel is now standard, and for Taycan models with the Sport Chrono package and Performance Battery Plus, a special push-to-pass button is available. Apple CarPlay has been integrated into the vehicle's displays and functions, and the In-Car Video function allows video streaming on both the central and passenger displays.
