The Audi RS6 Avant GT debuted with carbon fiber parts and a revamped engine. [W/Gallery + Videos]

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT* is the pinnacle of the model series, featuring exclusive details for both the exterior and interior. The special edition includes an impressive pass-through roof edge spoiler, redefined diffuser, and 22-inch wheels in a distinctive design. The interior features high-quality bucket seats, a fresh color combination, and individual numbering in the center console. The lightweight adjustable coilover suspension and a reworked quattro sport differential on the rear axle enhance the driving experience. The twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder engine in a V-layout has an output of 463 kW and 850 Nm of torque. Delivery of the Audi RS 6 Avant GT* will begin in the second quarter 2024, starting at 219,355 euro. The idea of the RS 6 Avant GT* goes back to the apprentice project RS 6 GTO concept from 2020, which involved twelve apprentices learning to work as bodywork, vehicle construction, automotive, painters, and tooling mechanics.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT is a unique model that stands out from other models in its range, including the RS 6 Avant* and the performance version. Its striking front end takes inspiration from the RS 6 GTO concept, with high-gloss black finishing on the Singleframe and air intakes. The hood is made entirely of carbon fiber, making it an eye-catcher. The side profile features inserts in side skirts, exterior mirror covers in glossy carbon, and 22-inch wheels in a 6-spoke design.

The rear features black "RS 6 GT" lettering, a tailgate with a visually lowered loading edge, a functional diffuser with a vertically centered reflector, and a distinctive double wing inspired by motorsport. The roof rails have been removed for a flatter, sportier silhouette. Customers can choose exclusive decals in two colors: Arkona White, Nardo grey, Chronos Gray Metallic, Madeira Brown Metallic, and Mythos Black Metallic.

The RS 6 Avant GT comes standard with the RS design package plus, which includes accents in the exclusive color combination of red and copper. The steering wheel, center console, center armrests, door armrests, floor mats, honeycomb stitching, Dinamica black microfiber upholstery, and seat belts are all available in Dinamica black or deep black microfiber. The center console features the car's serial number in a limited run of 660 models.

The new RS 6 Avant GT* boasts a power output of 463 kW (630 PS) and a maximum torque figure of 850 Nm, an increase of 22 kW (30 PS) and 50 Nm compared to the base model. It accelerates to 200 km/h from a standstill in just 11.5 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the RS 6 Avant*. The standard top speed is 305 km/h (190 mph), and negative acceleration is handled by the standard RS ceramic brake system.

The 4.0 TFSI power is applied to the permanent all-wheel drive quattro via the standard eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox with optimized shift times. The latest version of the locking center differential is used, which distributes engine power to the front and rear axle at a 40:60 ratio. This reworked center differential improves driving dynamics, ensures more precise cornering, and makes for less understeer at the limit.

To further distinguish the special edition from other RS models, the quattro sport differential on the rear axle has been specially tuned for the RS 6 Avant GT*. For the first time, and only for the RS 6 Avant GT*, adjustable coilover suspension comes as standard, lowering the ride height by ten millimeters and offering a perfect combination of dynamics and comfort. The RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) or the RS adaptive air suspension are also available.

The new high-performance Continental “Sport Contact 7” 285/30 R22 tires ensure the necessary grip for dynamic driving, offering consistently better roadholding under both dry and wet conditions and reducing understeer when cornering at speed. Additionally, the braking distance is up to two meters shorter with the new tires when braking from 100 to 0 km/h (62 mph to 0 mph).

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT* is a unique production model that is not entirely assembled on the Neckarsulm production line. Instead, the 660 models are assembled at Böllinger Höfe, a flexible facility near Audi's Neckarsulm site. The final assembly is carried out by seven experienced employees at three specially set stations, with each vehicle spending a day there. All GT-specific features are fitted by hand to the only 660 RS 6 Avant GT* models produced worldwide. Böllinger Höfe is net carbon neutral, using green electricity and heat from renewable sources. Audi offsets CO2 emissions using carbon credits from certified environmental projects, contributing to Mission:Zero, the premium manufacturer's environmental program for fully sustainable production.

Pricing starts at €219,355 in Germany and £176,975 in the United Kingdom.
