Citroen Ami retouched by Massimo Biancone

Italian designer Massimo Biancone has created a limited-production special edition of the Citroen Ami, a fully electric heavy quadricycle, a modern homage to the 2CV Charleston.

The Ami Charleston, originally introduced in 1948, was redesigned in 1980 with the Art-Deco livery. The new Ami Charleston By Biacnonce is finished in the classic Rouge Delage / Noir two-tone paint finish and features a body-colored grille, black wheel caps, and a canvas roof similar to its Fiat Topolino sibling.

Inside, the cabin features nostalgic touches, higher-quality materials, and more standard features. The single-spoke steering wheel, umbrella pocket, and leather upholstery are notable features. The Ami Charleston also includes more comfortable seats, a Bluetooth audio system, rubber mats, and a central rear-view mirror. However, it lacks air conditioning, so the tinted windows and canvas roof provide cooling. The Charleston retains the stock 8 hp electric motor and 5.5 kWh battery pack, allowing a 43-mile range between charges. Biancone plans to build 150 retro-themed special editions, with 32 pre-orders and four units currently in production.
