2025 Audi Q6L e-tron: Delivering More Legroom and Range in China

Audi introduces the extended Q6L e-tron, providing 4.1 inches of additional length and a remarkable 435 miles of range, targeting China's luxury market.

In a bid to cater to the discerning preferences of executive consumers in China, Audi unveiled the 2025 Q6L e-tron, featuring enhanced rear-seat legroom and an impressive battery range. Premiered at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, this model, with its elongated profile, not only offers more comfort but also packs a punch with increased battery capacity, delivering a remarkable range of 435 miles.

Extended Comfort and Range

The additional length of the Q6L e-tron translates into more than just added legroom. It allows for a larger battery, boosting the total capacity to 107 kWh, an increase of 7 kWh compared to the standard Q6 e-tron model. This enhancement extends the driving range to over 435 miles per charge, based on China's CLTC standard, offering a substantial improvement over the 388-mile range of the shorter model.

Thanks to its innovative 800-volt technology, the Q6L e-tron boasts fast-charging capabilities, enabling it to recover up to 162 miles of range in just 10 minutes and reach an 80% charge in just 25 minutes at compatible charging stations.

Power and Performance

The Q6L e-tron will be available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The rear-wheel-drive model will feature a 342-hp motor, while the all-wheel-drive variant will utilize a pair of motors generating a combined output of 463 hp, offering customers a choice between efficiency and performance.

Exterior and Interior Refinements

The exterior design of the Q6L e-tron has been subtly reworked, featuring a new front fascia with a gloss black finish for the grille, and side air intakes painted to match, creating a wider and more assertive presence. Exclusive paint colors, including Lilac Grey, will be offered, adding to the model's exclusivity.

Inside, the cabin has been updated with the latest infotainment technology tailored for the Chinese market. The model will also feature a suite of driver assistance features, including the adaptive Driving Assistant Pro and Parking Assistant Pro, powered by lidar, radar, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras.

Production and Availability

Audi plans to showcase the production-ready Q6L e-tron later in 2024, with deliveries expected to begin in 2025. The model will be the first electric vehicle based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) to be produced in China, highlighting Audi's commitment to the region.
