The 2024 Land Cruiser, introduced in 1958, is a highly respected off-roader with premium features and a new look. It offers a balanced blend of performance and efficiency, with a lower starting price and more creature comforts. The all-new Land Cruiser will hit dealer showrooms in Spring with a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Pricing (MSRP) of $55,950. The redesign of the vehicle has exceeded high expectations, and Toyota Marketing Vice President Mike Tripp is excited for the world to experience the next edition of the Land Cruiser.

The 2024 Land Cruiser is a reimagined version of the 250 series, featuring a powerful turbocharged i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain and a full-time four-wheel drive system. This premium hybrid produces 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2024 Land Cruiser also features an electric motor between the 2.4-liter turbo-charged engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, offering increased efficiency and reliability. It has an EPA-estimated 23 MPG combined rating.

The Land Cruiser has been updated with center and rear-locking differentials, an electronic locking rear differential, and a front stabilizer bar disconnect mechanism. These features enhance traction and reduce wheel spin on rough terrain. Multi-Terrain Select is now available in both 4WD High and 4WD Low, allowing for adjustable wheel spin control on various terrains. The updated CRAWL Control function offers five selectable speeds for low-speed off-road driving, while Downhill Assist Control helps navigate descents. Additional traction aids include vehicle stability control and an automatic limited-slip differential. The front overhang has been decreased for greater approach and departure angles. The Multi-Terrain Monitor system uses cameras to display the vehicle's environment on the touchscreen, revealing potential obstacles.

The Land Cruiser is built on the TNGA-F global truck platform, shared with Tundra, Sequoia, and Tacoma. Engineers used new innovations like laser blank welding technology to increase rigidity and improve ride comfort. The high-strength boxed frame, combined with the powerful i-FORCE MAX powertrain, allows the Land Cruiser to tow up to 6,000 pounds, making it ready for harsh environments.

The Land Cruiser is Toyota's original SUV, offering legendary capability, advanced technology, high safety, and premium touches for both drivers and passengers. The modern TNGA-F platform enhances ride comfort and on-road manners, while plush power heated and ventilated front and reclining rear seats make long road trips easier. The multimedia touchscreen displays Toyota's latest Audio Multimedia system, designed by Texas-based Connected Technologies, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility and pairs well with the premium 14-speaker JBL® audio system. Qi® wireless charging is available with enhanced power output, and dual USB-C charging ports are included in the front row and two for second-row passengers. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with customizable widgets is also available. Standard on all grades is a Smart Key System with push-button start, which can be remotely shared with others for more control over vehicle access. A Smart Card key is also available for added convenience.

The Land Cruiser is a versatile vehicle that will be available in three grades: 1958, Land Cruiser, and First Edition. The 1958 grade is a nod to the vehicle's roots, with a starting MSRP of $55,950. It features retro-inspired round LED headlamps, heated fabric seats, and the iconic "TOYOTA" heritage grille. Modern touches include a Smart Key System, Blind Spot Monitor, 7-inch full-color multi-information display, automatic climate control, five USB-C ports, an 8-inch Audio Multimedia Touchscreen, six-speaker sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® compatibility.

The Land Cruiser grade builds on the 1958 grade with refined features, including rectangular LED headlamps, power heated and ventilated SofTex®-trimmed front seats, a 12.3-inch full-color multi-information display, power liftgate, a 12.3-inch Audio Multimedia Touchscreen, and a 10-speaker sound system. Additional trail features include Rigid® color selectable LED fog lights, Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM), Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), and a Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) system.

The Premium Package upgrades standard seats to leather-trimmed heated and ventilated power front seats with lumbar support and driver memory features. The First Edition grade builds on the Land Cruiser grade by adding standard premium features and exclusivity, including retro round LED headlamps, unique 18-inch wheels, and the "First Edition" logo embossed on the door panels. The 2024 Land Cruiser will be offered in seven exterior color choices, with the two-tone Trail Dust and Heritage Blue exterior colors featuring a Grayscape roof.

The all-new Land Cruiser is a nod to the classic models of the past, featuring a boxy look with a flat roof, short overhangs, and "TOYOTA" grilles. The design team at Toyota's North American-based CALTY Design Research studio collaborated with the global development team to create a design direction that was authentic, reliable, timeless, and professional. The 1958 grade and First Edition grades offer iconic round LED headlights and a "TOYOTA" heritage grille, while Land Cruiser grades upgrade to slim, rectangular headlights reminiscent of the 60 series. The squared body profile resembles past Land Cruisers, and the A pillar is pushed back while the belt line is lowered for better visibility on trails. Modern features like LED lighting, 20" wheels, a silhouette-shaped roof rack, and color selectable Rigid® fog lights are also included. The global design team aimed to bring the Land Cruiser's proven track record of conquering harsh conditions to life in this modern era.

Toyota's Land Cruiser is a return of the iconic off-roader, adding to its rugged line of tough body-on-frame vehicles. These vehicles cater to customers' dynamic lifestyles, outlasting elements, and providing the tools to explore hidden wonders. They offer more choice for customers looking for vehicles that can keep up with their dynamic lifestyles.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is a suite of active safety and convenience systems that comes standard in all 2024 Land Cruiser models. It includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.

Proactive Driving Assist is a new feature that uses the vehicle's camera and radar to provide gentle braking into curves or steering to support driving tasks such as distance control between a preceding vehicle, pedestrian, or bicyclist. The system operates in different circumstances and is not a substitute for the Pre-Collision System.

The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection has enhanced detection capabilities thanks to new sensors, including intersection support and motorcyclist detection. Lane Departure Alert now provides Steering Assist and enhanced lane recognition, including detection of 3D objects like guardrails. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control has Full-Speed Range capability and adds a fourth following distance setting, allowing for smoother, more natural speed adjustments when the driver changes lanes.

Lane Tracing Assist requires Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to function and requires detectable lane markings. It also helps provide more space between vehicles being passed in adjacent lanes by offsetting the vehicles' driving path with minor steering adjustments while keeping the vehicle within its lane. An Emergency Driving Stop System is a new function of Lane Tracing Assist, designed to monitor the driver's inputs to determine if they are inattentive or non-responsive during emergencies.

Road Sign Assist detects speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, yield signs, and certain warning signs, and displays an icon on the Multi-Information Display (MID). Other available features include Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) to detect and warn of vehicles approaching or positioned in adjacent lanes, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) for added peace of mind, and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) as standard.

Toyota's Beyond Zero Vision portfolio includes 17 electrified vehicles, including the Land Cruiser, 13 hybrid models, two plug-in hybrid models, the bZ4X BEV, and the zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell Mirai. With 13 hybrid models, two plug-in hybrid models, and the Mirai, Toyota offers more choices than any other automaker to reduce carbon footprint.

Toyota offers a limited warranty for the 2024 Land Cruiser, covering 36 months for basic components, 60 months for powertrain, and 60 months for corrosion protection. Hybrid-related components require repairs for 8 years or 100,000 miles, while the hybrid battery is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles. The vehicle also comes with ToyotaCare, covering normal maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, and unlimited mileage of roadside assistance. The MSRP excludes a $1,495 dealer processing and handling fee.
