Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E Drivers Get Fast-Charging Boost with Tesla Supercharger Access

Good news for Ford electric vehicle (EV) owners! Starting today, retail customers of the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E are the first non-Tesla drivers to gain access to Tesla's extensive Supercharger network in the United States and Canada. This move comes at a crucial time, as a recent Cox Automotive Consumer Sentiment Study revealed that a lack of charging stations is a major hurdle for potential EV buyers.

With this collaboration, Ford drivers gain access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers, effectively doubling the number of fast-charging stations available through the BlueOval™ Charge Network. This significantly improves charging convenience, addressing a major concern for EV owners.

Here's what you need to know:

• Free Fast Charging Adapter: Ford is offering a complimentary Fast Charging Adapter to new and existing BlueOval™ Charge Network customers until June 30, 2024. Existing customers who order the adapter by the deadline will receive it at no cost, while future Ford EV customers can purchase it for $230.
• Seamless Charging Experience: The FordPass App or Charge Assist App allows for a stored payment account, eliminating the need to use a credit card at the charging station.
• Future-Proofing EVs: Ford is committed to offering next-generation electric vehicles with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector built-in, eliminating the need for an adapter altogether.

1. From the site, log in to Ford Pass. The Fast Charging Adapter Reservation will be the first tile within the Connected Service Home Page.

2. Click on the ‘Reserve your adapter at no cost’ button to start the ordering process

3. Your shipping information will be pre-populated based on your Ford Pass account, just verify that all the information is accurate, update if needed, and click ‘Reserve’.

4. And that’s it! From there you will get a confirmation screen with helpful information on a forthcoming automated over-the-air software update and a link to our FAQ Hub.

5. Additionally, you will receive confirmation email with a personalized link to check the status of your reservation

Customers who are not yet enrolled in BlueOval™ Charge Network will be prompted to enroll before ordering their fast charging adapter.
