The new 2025 BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible Refreshed and Priced

 


BMW has released the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible, embodying its brand values of driving pleasure and elegantly sporty design. The TwinPower Turbo engines, with 48V mild hybrid tech, improve efficiency and responsiveness. The exterior design features new paint finishes, light-alloy wheel designs, revised grilles, striking headlights, and laser-lit rear lights. The cabin features new steering wheel designs and interior trim elements. Production will continue at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, with the worldwide market launch expected in March 2024.

The BMW 4 Series features new headlights and rear lights with Laserlight accents. The front end features slim LED headlights and a vertically arranged BMW kidney grille. The air intakes have a mesh structure on 430i models, and the surround is finished in matte chrome. The headlights have been redesigned with a new structure, generating low and high beam lighting from a single LED module. The LED headlights are paired with the visually and technologically impressive Laserlight taillights, standard on M440i models and part of the optional Shadowline Package on 430i models.



BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible now offer customers the option to choose from two solid and eight metallic paint finishes, including Cape York Green metallic and Vegas Red metallic. Additionally, BMW Individual paint finishes are available. Two 19-inch wheel designs are available with mixed performance or all-season tires, with the 995M alloy wheels in Jet Black or bi-color finish and the 1038i BMW Individual alloy wheels in bi-color Midnight Grey.



The new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible boast standard sport seats, newly designed steering wheels, high-quality materials, and a new ventilation and climate control system. These interior changes provide driving pleasure with progressive style and long-distance comfort, while maintaining a refined atmosphere. These improvements enhance the overall driving experience.

The BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible features new steering wheels with standard gearshift paddles, enhancing their modern appearance and sporty feel. The standard steering wheel features a polygonal rim and two spokes, while the optional M Sport package offers an M leather three-spoke design with a flat-bottomed rim. The optional Shadowline Package adds tri-color M stitching and a red stripe at the 12 o'clock position.

The BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible now feature improved ventilation and climate control functions with the introduction of BMW iDrive 8.5 with QuickSelect. The system allows for touch-based temperature, fan speed, and seat and steering wheel heating adjustments, as well as voice commands using the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. The instrument panel and cockpit air vent grilles now allow for rotating and tilting movements for airflow direction. The standard ambient lighting now includes contour lighting, adjustable color and brightness for footwells, storage compartments, and door handles, and atmospheric Welcome and Goodbye Animations.

The BMW M440i models have been updated with a new kidney grille and black tailpipe finishers as standard. The M Performance models now feature horizontally arranged bars with an M logo, and front apron design elements are now finished in black high-gloss. The rear end of the M440i models also features trapezoidal tailpipe trim to signal the powerful engine.

The M Carbon Exterior Package offers exclusive features such as mirror caps, carbon fiber-reinforced plastic outer air intakes, and a carbon fiber Gurney lip rear spoiler for the new BMW M440i models.

The M440i models feature a unique sports car atmosphere with interior trim elements in Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite, M door sill trim, an M driver's footrest, and M-specific graphics for the BMW Curved Display, and optional Vernasca leather seats.

The BMW 4 Series has been enhanced with the new BMW iDrive display and control system, featuring QuickSelect based on BMW Operating System 8.5. This system provides intuitive control of functions and access to innovative digital services. The new iDrive system in the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible features a new home screen and QuickSelect rapid access tech, incorporating consumer electronics devices. The system is packaged with the BMW Curved Display and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, designed for touchscreen and natural language operation. The system also includes multifunction buttons on the steering wheel and the BMW Head-Up Display.

The BMW iDrive with QuickSelect feature allows functions to be displayed on a single level and selectable with rapid-access tech. The new BMW Operating System 8.5 home screen continuously displays the navigation system's map view or other configurable graphics on the control display. Widgets appear vertically on the driver's side, allowing drivers to switch between them with a vertical swipe. The QuickSelect feature allows functions to be activated directly without entering a submenu. The flat menu structure makes it easier to activate desired functions and settings. The digital content enhances the driver focus for BMW.

The 2025 M440i models feature B58B30M2 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engines with 48V mild hybrid technology for increased efficiency. The auxilliary electric drive of the 48V starter generator boosts the 375 hp TwinPower Turbo engine, resulting in 386 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. The B48B20O2 2-liter inline 4-cylinder engine in the 430i also incorporates 48V mild hybrid technology, Miller cycle combustion process, and innovations in camshaft control, injection, ignition system, and exhaust gas routing.

The BMW Maps navigation system, part of the standard BMW Live Cockpit Plus, now includes an Augmented View function, which enhances the navigation system's map display by displaying a live video stream of the driver's view on the control display or instrument cluster. This feature provides tips and information to match the context, such as an animated directional arrow at confusing junctions and supplementary information for parking spot searches. The system is now available in the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible.

The BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible can be personalized using the BMW ID and My BMW App. The vehicle can be accessed by scanning a QR code with a smartphone, importing the customer's profile, loading synchronizable settings, and linking the key detected with the BMW ID. The My BMW App, available for free on iOS and Android, provides information on the vehicle's status, servicing, maintenance requirements, and remote operation of functions like locking and unlocking doors. The app can also send destination addresses to the vehicle's navigation system. The My Trips feature offers data and evaluations for distances travelled, fuel consumption, and average speed.

The BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible now offer optimal connectivity with the Personal eSIM, which is included as standard with the vehicle's built-in mobile SIM. This allows customers to use their mobile contract's communications and connectivity functions from their car, even without their smartphone. The vehicle's exterior antenna uses a low-radiation connection for phone calls and data streaming.
